Breakthrough in MEMS Sensor Technology, Electronic Scale Accuracy Achieves "Gram-level" Leap

In March 2024, a domestic sensor enterprise launched a new generation of MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) weighing sensors, improving the accuracy of electronic scales from the traditional ±0.1kg to ±0.1g, achieving a "gram-level" measurement breakthrough. Through silicon-based microstructure design, this technology enhances the sensor's ability to perceive tiny pressures, while reducing the impact of temperature and humidity on measurement results, with stability improved by more than 30%. Currently, the sensor has been applied to high-end products such as laboratory precision electronic scales, jewelry scales, and medical scales. For example, a brand of laboratory electronic scale has a range of 0.1g-5kg with an error rate of only 0.02%, meeting the high-precision needs of chemical experiments and drug weighing; in the medical field, it is used for neonatal weight monitoring and tracking of fluid changes in dialysis patients, providing accurate data support for clinical diagnosis. Experts said that the large-scale application of MEMS sensors will reduce the production cost of high-end electronic scales, and it is expected to penetrate into household and commercial fields in the future, promoting the accuracy upgrade of the entire industry.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance Skills for Common Electronic Scale Failures to Extend Service Life

During the use of electronic scales, failures such as no response when turned on, inaccurate data, and screen flickering are prone to occur. Most problems can be solved through simple troubleshooting: 1. No response when turned on: First check if the battery is dead (try replacing with a new battery) and if the battery compartment has poor contact (clean the battery contacts and adjust the battery position); for plug-in electronic scales, check if the power cord is damaged and if the socket is powered on.

Usage Specifications of Electronic Scales in Special Scenarios, Special Requirements for Medical, Logistics and Other Fields

Different scenarios have special requirements for the accuracy, functions, and compliance of electronic scales. Improper use may lead to invalid data or even violations: 1. Medical scenarios: Medical electronic scales used in hospitals and physical examination centers must comply with the "Verification Regulation of Medical Electronic Scales," with an accuracy of ±0.05kg and a range of 0-200kg, and must have calibration traceability functions; electronic scales used for monitoring dialysis patients and diabetic patients need to support data storage and export to facilitate doctors' analysis of weight changes; baby scales must be equipped with anti-fall guardrails and soft scale surfaces to avoid harming babies.
